Automated Deployment

Automated Deployment - select items Deploy all or selected database changes, define deployment checkpoints using powerfull automated deployment mechanism.

Developers work with application, they check items out and in, make changes.
While working with SQL Source Control there is a posibility to create a "deployment checkpoint", that defines a point in history that you may refer to while deploying changes. When you want to deploy all changes you have made to the database, you may choose from the following:
  • deploy all changes made (checked-in) after a given date or on a given date
  • deploy all changes made (checked-in) after a given "deployment checkpoint" you created before
  • deploy only the changes made by a developer (SourceSafe user) of your choice
When you choose a desired option, the deployment SQL script will be automaticaly created for you. You will be given a posibility to correct it, save and run against a deployment database.
